'Tattoo Nightmares Miami' finds ‘Unlucky Charms’ on Spike
On last night’s episode of "Tattoo Nightmares," titled “Unlucky Charms,” fans remember Clint Cummings from the second season of “Ink Master,” as if anyone could forget that gigantic Mohawk. Rounding out the crew, are two more tattoo doctors; Reese Hillburn, a contemporary artist from Southern California and High Noon, legally known as Samuel Suarez; the artist currently kicking ass on the Florida convention scene. These three tattoo artists are ready to take on the most outrageous tattoos and cover-ups on the East Coast.
The first guy named Bobby comes in to see High Noon. He wants him to help him breathe under water. Puzzled, High Noon tells him that he is in the wrong place. He then clarifies his request by asking for a set of gills on his chest. His is a professional stuntman and loves the water. He has been asking other artists to do them, but they all sent him away disappointed. As High Noon designs the gills, he knows that they must look as real as possible.
The first drawing was not to Bobby’s satisfaction, so High Noon went back to the drawing board. The next rendering was exactly as he wanted. The finished product looked exactly like shark’s gills.
A woman named Sunny comes in to see Clint. She tells him that he is going to save her life today. She has an offensive tattoo she needs help with. She is an Arab, and people think she is a terrorist. She has a bomb tattoo with a smiley face, and it is as offensive to her culture as one can get. She is looking for an abstract hourglass and Clint can have artistic freedom with it. She got the tattoo after her divorce, and with her girls one night, she thought that she was “the bomb,” which is how it became her tattoo. The finished tattoo was how she wanted it to be, abstract in black with a red focal point, as Clint described. She was now proud of her tattoo and could not wait to show her father.
A guy named Ed came in to see Reese. He has penises on his chest in a shamrock tattoo. He would like it covered with something like an evil leprechaun to cover this shamrock and still remain Irish. The completed leprechaun stood in front of his pot of gold, with a tree and the giant moon behind him. Now his ugly tattoo was no longer, and his self-esteem was restored. He can now go to Ireland and remove his shirt without fear of embarrassment.
Now all of these people are very proud of the artwork they have, can show it off proudly because they are no longer victims of their "Tattoo Nightmares Miami."
